Rangers and Royals visit Dodger Stadium for six-game homestand

Pride Night and Black Heritage Night to be held on Friday and Saturday

LOS ANGELES – Following their east coast road trip, the Dodgers return to Los Angeles to face the defending World Champion Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals for a six-game slate. The jam-packed homestand will feature three promotional giveaways, two special theme nights, the second Viva Los Dodgers festival of the season and a fireworks show. The Texas Rangers make their way out west for the first time in nearly three years as the homestand begins on Tuesday, June 11 at 7:10 p.m. The first 40,000 ticketed fans will receive a Joe Kelly No. 99 home jersey, presented by Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel. Joe’s son, Knox Kelly, will throw out the first pitch to celebrate his dad’s special night. Wednesday’s game will begin at 7:10 p.m. before the series concludes on Thursday with another 7:10 p.m. start. Fans will take home the first ever Dodger bobblehead of Japanese starting pitcher, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, presented by Security Benefit. 

The Dodgers welcome the Kansas City Royals to Chavez Ravine starting with a 7:10 p.m. start on Friday, June 14. Pride Night, presented by Blue Shield of California, will kick off the weekend with a party in Centerfield Plaza featuring dance lessons from Stud Country and a music set by DJ Brizzle. Fans who purchased a ticket pack will  receive an exclusive 2024 Dodger LGBTQ+ themed jersey. Additionally, a kickball championship held by OutLoud Sports will be hosted on the outfield grass of Dodger Stadium. Friday Night Fireworks, sponsored by General Mills, will cap off the night.

Black Heritage Night will be celebrated on Saturday with a host of activities recognizing heritage and culture, including a yard show performance A black and blue jersey  Description automatically generatedin Centerfield Plaza by members of various Divine 9 sororities and fraternities and a DJ set by Gusto Funk. The National Anthem will be performed before the game by world famous saxophonist Mike Phillips. Fans that purchased a special ticket pack will take home an exclusive black and blue jersey, paying tribute to the rich history of black Dodger players.

Father’s Day beach hat, sponsored by Security Benefit, will be passed out ahead of the sunny 1:10 p.m. start on Sunday. The second Viva Los Dodgers festival, presented by Budweiser and Spectrum, will take place in Centerfield Plaza before the game. Fans will have the opportunity to hear an interview with a Dodger player and hear from current Spanish broadcaster, José Mota and Dodger legend, Manny Mota.  Kids Runs the Bases will be held after the homestand finale.

Fans can continue to support the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) in-stadium by purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets, buying an item at the LADF Homebase Store, or getting a personalized ribbon board message at Dodgers.com/ribbonboards. Proceeds benefit LADF as it tackles the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos.

On Black Heritage Night, as part of LADF’s commitment to social justice, the 50/50 raffle is dedicated to the Liberty Hill Foundation to support the California Funders for Boys and Men of Color, with a goal to remove systemic barriers and create pathways that enable boys and men of color to achieve their greatest hopes and dreams. The Ellen & Clayton Kershaw Foundation is generously matching up to $50,000. Since 2020, over $600,000 has been raised to support this effort.
